Like many of us, Robbie & Dylan Knowles have been impacted by cancer. In fact, multiple people close to them have dealt with cancer.
When their aunt was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, it really hit home. The Knowles brothers watched their cousins struggle through their mom’s battle and subsequent passing, and they knew they wanted to do something to help. They wanted to do something to encourage their cousins to keep on going after their mom had passed; they wanted to keep themselves motivated.
That something turned out to be a song, which became a video as well. The song, “We’ll Never Stop Fighting” was written about winning the fight against cancer, as a song for everyone impacted by this disease.
In their words: “It wasn’t meant, at first, to be [out in the world]. It was just for family and friends. Then we thought, well, maybe we could do some good with this song… After we showed it to family and friends, every single person cried. Like, I’ve never seen adult men cry, and they all cried.”
The reaction was more than they could have hoped for, “it just blew our expectations out of the water. It was a very humbling process, just seeing what some of these people have gone through, what they’re still fighting, and how optimistic they are.”
After hearing about this song and all the good the Knowles brothers were doing for their local community, we knew they would be a perfect fit as part of the Tour de Pier family. Their father Rob had participated in the past and was happy to connect us. We are honored to have Robbie & Dylan Knowles as part of this year’s Why I Ride campaign.
You can purchase the song “We’ll Never Stop Fighting” on their website where all proceeds will be donated towards their Tour de Pier team.
