Last year I beat breast cancer. I tell you this not for a pity party but rather as a call to action. Because of the million$ invested in research, today many cancers are treatable and Beatable!
I’ll be riding in the 5th Annual Tour de Pier on May 21st to honor my dear father Al, and friends Kory and Mark, for whom their cure didn’t come soon enough; I’ll be riding to acknowledge everyone for their love and support throughout my journey – I’m back better and stronger because of YOU; I’ll ride in support of my friends who are in the midst of their journeys; and, I ride to thank everyone who has donated to cancer research – I’m alive because of your generosity and your belief in finding a cure.
The Tour de Pier brings hundreds of stationary cycling bikes to the iconic Manhattan Beach Strand to create awareness and raise funds for three outstanding cancer charities: Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community of Redondo Beach and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
Please consider contributing towards my fundraising efforts today. Or if you’d like, you can join me on May 21st for a day of fun at the beach, a great ride, remembering those we have lost and celebrating those who are currently battling this disease. Let’s ride in place and move charity forward and shout out loud that Everything is possible and together we can find a cure!
